?? Noise From The Front :(

i hear a grinding noise from the front of my car. when i go 90 degrees straight, no problem, when i turn even 5 degrees right, i hear the humming/grinding noise, idk what it is? here's the symptoms :

1) going straight, no noise
2) slightly right, humming/grinding noise
3) turn left, no problem
4) driving slow, turning either LEFT or RIGHT, no noise
5) noise starts about 25 mph and above
6) on highway ramps turning right whether there is elevation or not, noise is present
7) on highway ramps turning left, slight noise as there is elevation on the right side.
8) noise remains there even when i cruise on NEUTRAL at 50 mph
9) frequency of the noise gets higher at higher speed (means sharper noise)
10) frequency of noise gets lower at lower speed (blunter noise)

Any one knows what this is??

Been there for more than 1 month. Tried jacking up the left front wheel and also right front wheel and tried "front wheel play" tires does not wobble or "play". i'm not sure that i did it right though.

Im not sure if the PT has Hub Bearing or what it actually has but sounds like a bearing to me

that's what my friend said too, which side will the weight of the car be when i turn right?

well Im not 100% sure, but if you think about this, when you are going straight, and you turn to the right, the passengers side wheel seems like it will have more force pushing against it, as it is kinda on the inside. where as the drivers side will just be rolling along and turning to the right,, so with that way of thinking, id say the passengers side would or could be bad but in reality if one is bad there is a good chance the other is not far behind.

there are some really smart folks on here who will have a way better way of looking at this

Oddly as it is the PT is one of the Cars that chrysler makes that has the FEWEST complaints

I have had mine a few months, but from what i have read here,, the plugs, the wires, and fount bushings,. the axles , the water pump, and the oil pump, the bearings, and the tranny in the auto sucks, are all things i may as well get ready to have replaced and it is not the best at MPG --------- but the sad part is I just like the body lines so I drive my S 10 to work and drive the PT on weekends and just enjoy it as it is

i think the moral of the story is that everything that can go wrong will go wrong!

that and it is way easier to go Downhill QUICKLY
