Welcome to the forum. Whatever size you decide to go with, you may want to go with a wider tire on the back. I just purchashed rims a few weeks back 225/18x7.5/40 front 225/20x7.5/35 rear but after seeing some other Pt's i wish i would have gotten some that were 8.5 instead, 235's and 245's will fill the wheel wells better. Just depends on what look you are going for.

If you're trying to 'fill the wheelwells' width wise, that can be done with different offset wheels or wheel spacers. Putting wider wheels on the rear of a frontwheel drive can only serve to worsen the driving dynamics of the car. We already have massive oversteer. We don't need wider tires out back exacerbating the problem.

18s and 20s here... The Pt just sits perfect with these sizes and rides great too. Speedo is not of whack at all. 245/35/20 and 225/40/18 sizes on 20x8.5 and 18x7.5 rims. Like was stated, if you are in florida you should be ok as far as streets go...

Speaking of which... browsing through fleaBay, I found this.... Great deal for wheels/tires and should fit on the front since its 7.5 width with the offset mentioned...
