808,

PT's (cars) like that don't ride on the streets like that. They're all "air-ride" cars that lift up a number of inches before actually driving away from where they are parked. Otherwise, as you say, they would be scraping the bottom.

Hey their 808,

Yep, that is on Air Ride, and can go from basically stock height to on the ground at the flip of the switch. Way cool looking but the problem is the cast difference.

Springs: $200 - $250

Air Bags: $3500 and up

So I love theat ultra slammed look, but its too much for me at the moment.

Incidentally that particular PT hails from one of the Islands. Not sure which one but he used to go by the uner name "Hawaiian Silver" once upon a time.

I even got two guys here in So Cal that are also from your neck of the woods

Here is Bob AKA "Surf Cruiser"

And here is my good friend Poi AKA "Freaky Tiki"

Take er easy

thank you very much man, good to hear that sometimes....i have felt secure about how it looks latly cause i havnt changed much in bout 4years on the car which i am bout to do full tear down on it in a few weeks to change that lol..but i understand with the tire size kills the look on the front, i plan to go 20s on the front too if i can mod up the front right if not ill keep the 18/20 look but tub the rear for a deeper wheel....
but ive always liked yours though cause it sit nice and the color is clean as hell i like it alot....

My big dilemma is without the air to adjust, that if I went with the 18/20 Combo, I would either have to put a size bigger tire in front which kills the look for me, or let my ride sit that 2" lower in front with the staggered wheel size which would blow my level look I got now. Which is why I really wish I could find a good 19/20 Combo to get that tuck in the rear while minimizing the rake as much as possible. At least till I get around to looking into bags. Then I would probably go ahead and do 20"s all around. Just cant fir that extra inch in front the way it sits now, which is why I am most likely going ahead with just re-surfacing my wheels for now, and do it the way I want it when I get the means to do it right!

Your ride sits perfect though, and I can appreciate the work that went into getting your it to lay out like that!

mine was a daily driver for 6 years up until the last year, and that car sits higher than mine except for his bolt on body kit makes it lay the kit on the ground..
not trying to be a pain but id have to argue that one...i can go hope in mine and go anywhere i want in it... its went from the East coast to the west coast several times and not scared to go drive it and do again...

Ah! I should have caught that from his license plate. But then again, who's looking at his license plate??

Big Ryan,
Man if you pull off having 20s all around, you'd no doubt be known as "Big" Ryan!

HAHAHa thats funny, oh its possible i just dont know if i want to sacrafic the hotrod look for the 2inch bigger wheels, but i know i can i get it on 20s and go lower in the front, only about a 1/4 of a inch is stoping me from running
20's now the strut bag sits right on the side of the sidewall of the tire airedout, but airedup it pulls off the tire almost a half an inch...nut if i made a mistake in adjusting my suspension going down the road and sit it all the way down it would go BOOM... id rather make it right...but i think the 18/20 combo gives it more of a hotrod look but i have a set of babymoons i can slap back on it for the rod look for some shows i suppose...
