Default Help with Ball Joint

I need to replace the bell crank on my 01 Cruiser. The instructions I have (from Auto Zone) say that there is a special tool needed to release the ball joint from the bell crank. Do I need a special tool for this or is there something else that can be used to get the job done?

Thanks
