Default Help Needed

Does anyone here know what 16" steel wheel would be compatible (cross ref.) to the pt's 5x100mm bolt pattern with the 57.1 center bore. After buying new tires 16" and a set of stainless spun full moons i find out PT only came with 15" steely's. After doing some research i'm come close but the three major's.. Bpattern~bore~ and the 12mm stud size can't find a match..but friends at work said their out there!

PS...Yes i should have done my homework prior to my purchases...

Thanks Rich

I can't say an exact model for sure but I would look at Ford steel wheels. A lot of there OEM wheels have the same bolt pattern as Chrysler. The only OE dodge wheels that are 16" and 5x100 bolt pattern are off a 88-93 Daytona.

Neon wheels bolt on - many like the SRT4 alloys on PTs...

Finally my search is over...found that few of the OEM Audi /WV have the spec. as the Chrysler PT. took along a set of mic's and went to my local VW garage picked up (4) i believe the man said these are off a 97' Passat 16"x6.5 ..5x100mm BP with the 57.1 center bore.

Thanks for the responses! rich

They have the same offset as the PT? They clear the brake calipers?

yeah the VW wheels offest do clear the calipers..
these are 15"s, but the offset is the same as the 16's which is 35mm
(these are VW corrado wheels)
with home-made the center caps...

Rowdy thanks for answering Quicksliverdon's I like your centers too..now i have one for you. Friend of mine also wants a set of steely 16"s for his Cruiser..but i got the only set the garage had. Do you know the year of the Corrado that yours came off of. Diff. years , motor size along with the bigger calipers affects the boltpattern's and backspacing.. example some have 5x112bp /42mmBS i'm told the VW's all have the same center bore which is the 57.1 So if you could reply on additional info. ref. to the VW your's came off of would be appreciated.

thanks rich

they came from mid 80's VW.
I found a guy who had found a pallet full of em never used, but he has since sold them all, so I essentially lucked out in getting them "new" even though they were mid-80's.
I'd bet most VW wheels would fit.
The popular thing about the corrado type is how they are put together. The centers are welded into the outer rim so they are 2 piece. This allows you have a wheel place (like Stockton Wheel in CA) move the centers for you, put the centers on a wider rim, etc., if that was an issue. These things cleared the calipers as it was. My PT has a drum rear so back there it didn't matter much.
I dunno if that info helps or not but let me know if there's any thing else you need to know.
