It almost has to be the wheel bearing or CV (constant velocity) joint. Your mechanic should be able to pinpoint which it is. My guess would be the CV joint.

Thanks Crewzin. I hope its the cv joints. Or I bought some bad bearings (just replaced them 3,000 miles ago.)

If you have a jack, you can look under the drivers side for a tear on the CV joint boot. That's what usually goes wrong, a tear in the boot leaves it open for dirt and debris to get inside and play havoc with the joint. It usually run anywhere from $100 to $200 to replace a single joint.

CV Joint Boots were in tact with no rips. Mechanic told me the bushings were bad, which I already knew. What I didn't know was how much noise those little buggers could make!
Quoted at $263 installed. Seems reasonable.
