As QSD mentioned, if you have a GT, you're going to be a little more limited in selection. If you've got a non-turbo car, go to a junkyard and find yourself a 90's FWD Chrysler car or van with the steel wheels on it. Some may be 14" and/or 4-bolt but you'll likely be able to find what you're looking for for cheap.
As for tires, I've run Firestone Winterforce on a couple vehicles, including my PT, and I've been very happy with them. For the price, you can't really beat them. I also had BFG Winter Slalom tires on my Neon that I was pleased with.

Will 14" snow rims from a neon fit on a pt cruiser?

Even if they'll fit, a 185/60-14 will be way too small. You'll lose over two inches in your overall tire diameter which will no only increase engine revs and fuel consumption, but also lower the car a bit over an inch which isn't a good thing in the snow.

She just read me her tire size P205/55R/16
So should I just stick with 16" then and not even bother going doing to 15"? Also is 5X100 bolt pattern Offset: +35mm will 38MM work as well seems the 97 Grand Ams have same pattern to ? Last edited by ginuwine; 13 Aug 2009 at 04:00 pm. |
