Default special tools / diagrams ??

hey every one , i am here to help out my mom & from reading all the posts/threads i have come to the conclusion its her wheel bearing . she has a 03 4 banger non turbo (if a 4 even comes with a turbo ?)& i an attempting to do this solo . its the front driver side & since im changing the wheel bearing i may aswell do the hub bearing ?? . my question that i have is , is there any special tools needed ??? i did read somewhere that a hub tool is needed ?? will a wheel puller work ?? i have a few diffrent types . also is there a site or does any one have or know where i could see a fairly detailed pic of all this so i can sort of see what im up against befor i start rippin everything apart ???? any help would be greatly appreciated , thanx

Wheel bearing and hub bearing are the same thing. The bearing is pressed in so I wouldn't even worry about getting a hub puller. Take the whole knuckle into a shop that can press them out and press the new bearing in. There's no special tools involved with getting the knuckle out. If you want the pages out of my service manual for hub removal, I can send them to you in a PM.

ok , i finaly got this appart & the hub is seased in the stearing knuckle & the actual bearings are pretty chewed up & some are side ways & there is a goug out around the inner part of the knuckle where the bearings ride . i couldnt get to a shop in time yesterday to have them look at it or have them press it out . from what i described would both the hub & the knuckle be garbage ?

You're probably okay. Still, I'd have someone with the proper press push the new bearings in. Once you get the old out, make sure the inside is smooth and nothing left from the old bearings.
