hey every one , i am here to help out my mom & from reading all the posts/threads i have come to the conclusion its her wheel bearing . she has a 03 4 banger non turbo (if a 4 even comes with a turbo ?)& i an attempting to do this solo . its the front driver side & since im changing the wheel bearing i may aswell do the hub bearing ?? . my question that i have is , is there any special tools needed ??? i did read somewhere that a hub tool is needed ?? will a wheel puller work ?? i have a few diffrent types . also is there a site or does any one have or know where i could see a fairly detailed pic of all this so i can sort of see what im up against befor i start rippin everything apart ???? any help would be greatly appreciated , thanx

ok , i finaly got this appart & the hub is seased in the stearing knuckle & the actual bearings are pretty chewed up & some are side ways & there is a goug out around the inner part of the knuckle where the bearings ride . i couldnt get to a shop in time yesterday to have them look at it or have them press it out . from what i described would both the hub & the knuckle be garbage ?

one more obstacle ???? ok , she has been with out her car for a while , i know , she has been using mine . i have got everything back together & it went well just the tie rod , when im trying to tighten , it just spins
. please is there a way to stop this so i can tighten & get my car back ?? any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated thanx |
