the reason for so many questions i am ordering the tires online and having a friends shop put them on so they have to be ok to be mounted and work returning them would be a nightmare !!

I've got an '06 GT, and they aren't that far off in this area. I've got 17x7's on mine, all four corners, but with 215/50's. The only thing I question is the 225/55. Remember, the 55 is not a measurement, it's 55% of the tire's width. The wider the tire, normally the smaller you go in height number. If I was to put a 225 on mine, I'd probably go with a 45 height. But, a 50 would likely fit. Course, I've lowered my car so not sure that it wouldn't fit, cause I think it would. PTCrew.com is the place to go to ask if anyone is running that tire/wheel combo, they probably have someone there that can tell you.
