Lightbulb This why you DONT Cut! ! ! !

This is why you don't CUT your front Coil Springs....
Yes i did Cut the springs all four the back are fine but the front
just look at the pics (WOW) I was turning and
I herd this grinding sound from the front so i took off the
tires and the coil spring pop't out of the top coil holder thing:
Good thing the junkyard had two PT cruiser the front struts
with coil was $45. each so yes i bought two now my front
is back to stock until i buy a set of front lowering springs...
LESSON LEARNED!!!!!

Hey their 02PT,

Yep, I remember back when you first posted on this mod, and was afraid something like that would happen. Here was the Link:

Well I did it! !

Sorry to hear about what happened, but glad to hear you weren't hurt! It really could have become a serious situation in a heartbeat! Chopping Springs can really become an extremely dangerous deal in a hurry if its not done correctly!

Also sorry we couldn't work things out, but sounds like you got it under control, and a good deal.

Anyways, go easy, drive safe, and I'll catch ya later.

when you first posted, I stayed away from making a comment and could only think, "well good luck with that". I did that on an Olds Cutlass convertible and hit a good bump and blew out both from springs! Scared me sh%tless... I'll never cut one again...
