Ok I got the back done. Went extremely well. Now looking at the front, I have one strut out, how do you disassemble this? Any answers as soon as possible please, its just sitting out there. Thanks

I'm not trying to tick you off but, your first post says you are no stranger to suspensions and now you are asking how to remove the spring from the strut.?
You need to get a spring compressor and be careful. If you had these other bagged and hydro vehicles why are you not doing that to the cruiser?

Heres a couple pics. Your right, I said I had several pickup trucks that I had put airbags and juice on. Not many pickup trucks that I know of with struts.
This is my first tome fooling with them. I ended up leaving the front alone and pretty much just leveling out the rear, maybe a little more than level, for now. And the reason for not going the adjustable route yet, gotta start somewhere. I believe I put some pics of my old trucks on my profile![]()

Hey their jonnbr,
Here is a pic of the front suspension assembly. As already mentioned, you will need a spring compressor to put the springs on. If you have any questions please feel free to let me know and I will try to answer them as best I can. ![]() Looks like you tried reworking the rear spring already. The back ones aren't as critical as the front springs, but do play an important roll in the overall suspension layout. As you already know from your Mini Trukin days, if you are even a hair off, it screws up the overall geometry of the suspension, which can screw the entire vehicle up in any one of a number of ways which is not good I assume you also know that the stock rear springs are not progressively wound, and therefore are no bueno for dropping your PT. I am glad to see you didn't go forwards with chopping the front spring yet. That really is a seriously bad deal all together! Here is a original Link to another Member who went ahead and chopped his Springs, and then the aftermath that resulted. In this case he got really lucky, but the next person who is willing, and ready to try this might not be as lucky at all! Here are the Links: Well I did it! ! This why you DONT Cut! ! ! ! I shot you over the info you were asking about. I wish I could work a better plan but things are very tight right now. I am good to go so you say the word. Just be sure to let me know so I can make arrangements. Other than that, please be extra careful whatever you decide to do! Go easy, and I hope to catch ya later. Candyman

Jonnbr, Sorry i couldn't find any pics. I would love to see some though. On a cruiser related note. I just happen to have a set of Eibach front springs. Make me a respectable offer and they are yours.
You can then lower the front correctly.

That picture of that front strut is exactly why I didnt do the front. The rear is completely safe because of the upper "cup" made into the floor pan. Maybe not "right", but it`ll do for now until I figure out what else I`d like to do with it. I was very suprised the stock shocks would still work out.
