Chris,

Lookin good. I just had a 4 wheel alignment done at Crystal Motors (Dodge/Chrysler building) up here in Homosassa. They put boards down before he ran it up on the alignment machine. Worked perfectly. I even ran home after that and brought the Vette back for the same 4-wheel alignment and the front on that is only 3 inches off the ground. No problem getting it up on the machine.

Carey,

Thanks man! It's nice to finally SEE the image that I've been developing in my head, you know? I'm very happy with how it has turned out. I wound up going around to a few places when I was back in Citrus County, all of which couldn't do the alignment because the car is 'too low'. And I quote, "I can get a mother-f***ing Dodge Viper up on this b****, but I can't get your PT Cruiser up there man.. I'm sorry." HAHAHAHA I laughed after I left, but it was pretty disheartening. So I drove it back down here to Tampa without an alignment, and had it aligned at this Tire Choice I've been having work done at and they have the rack built into the floor and whatnot, so it's a breeze.

I've had both rear wheel bearings replaced their and some other work, so they know when I'm coming now, and now that the car is lowered, they save the alignment rack for me.. since that's the only rack they can use to lift the car! Haha.

But I'll be back in Citrus County for the holidays-- did you guys have any plans for shows? It'd be nice to meet up now that you're back in Florida. Let me know!

- Chris

Chris,

I head up north for the winter. (something backwards about that). Stay with my Son, daughter-in-law and grandkids in Virginia. Leave somewhere around the 19th of December (son's b-day on the 21th) and stay till about the 2nd of January.

Only shows I'm planning are Saturday nights at Wednesday. Built myself a Valve Cover Racer and we race on the 3rd Saturday of each month.

Haha very sweet! I forgot about you heading back up there. But you'll be around until December, correct? So will you be going to the shows this Saturday and next Saturday as well? If so, I'll definitely try to make at least one of them!

This Saturday for sure with the races. Be looking forward to seeing your PT up close. Oh, and as far as your quick poll on chrome or balck lug nuts ....I sort of like chrome with the black wheels.

Haha sounds good to me! I'll definitely try to make it.

I do agree. I didn't really have a choice on the lugnuts, but the centercap is silver, so I think it complements the car very well.

Haha I guess it kinda was, but definitely not intentionally. And hey! You're in Hawaii, and I'm very envious of that! :P

Ah true, didn't really think of that. :/ You'll get it done eventually.

Next? I need to order the smoked tails and reverse lights from that guy, pick up a set of headlight covers and then have the window tint darkened. Then I'm basically done with the exterior.

That billet grille just didn't work out for me. It was a Stull grille, and the mounting flanges were COMPLETELY off.. like, I would have had to break the welds and reweld them in the right locations.. so I just sent it back to them.

But, most likely this summer, when I can afford to have the car off the road for a month or so, I'll be attempting a tranny swap along with a rebuild of the bottom end, and I'll transplant the turbo setup from an SRT-4..
