dont worry about
its been checked as you have said in past postings
by the sounds of it everthing has been replace several times now
somes cars do have a knock are bump sound when thay go over bumps in the road etc
if its driving ok etc and a mechanic has given it the green light then just leave it
you could spend / waste so much time and money trying to find it only to find that others do it as well
you nver know we my also have same happening to ours but never ever noticed it lol

and if its old weather even if you have fitted new parts it will still make a noise as the rubber bushes are cold and will have shrunk
and when it gets warmer thay expand and noise will not be as bad / disaper
my front arms have been doing same (only been on a few mnths and were fine until cold weather started but are better on warmer days )

other things that can casue the fault you have could be a front shocker / faulty spring could even be a rear drop link / the bell crank as sound dosent always seem to be come from it sounds like it is lol

I'm getting a similar noise on the drivers side front... going over bumps make a clicking noise... I just checked the strut mount and strut on the top... I'll take a look in the next couple of days and see if I can see anything. Does anyone else have any other ideas?

Thanks for all responses!

Cool Re: WHAT COULD IT BE??

I had a front end thump over bumps for several weeks, last year.
I bought a set of Energy Suspension bushings.
The sound went away; and my bushing set is still in the closet!

I had a "clunk" noise from passenger front, I changed the lower torque strut as the rubber was ripped. Much better, no vibration but the clunk is still there. It only happens once in a while when I go over a bump now ? Everything looks good, car runs perfect, no other problems. May be a bushing or strut but I will live with it
