Exclamation 2006 Touring Edition-Will These Rims Fit?

okay...i have a friend who has a 300M-i believe either a 2000 or a 2001....anyway, she just bought a new aftermarket set of rims for her 300, and i was contemplating buying the original rims from her for my cruiser. question is, will they fit. her original rims are 17" factory chrome 10 spoke rims, and my cruiser originally came with the 15" steel wheels with hubcaps, and i cannot stand them anymore. really would like to upgrade since she is willing to sell them to me at a very low price. i have attached a link to a picture of some identical rims to the ones she is wanting to sell. they are just standard 300 rims. help!

Exclamation Re: 2006 Touring Edition-Will These Rims Fit?

Is there anything I can do to make the rims fit? Someone told me that there is an "adapter plate" that I can buy which will allow me to widen the lug pattern so the rimsw will fit? Is there such a thing?

there is a guy on ebay that sells adapter kits and they will work but then you need to check the back spacing to make cure they will clean everything that is in the way

Considering the pattern is how the holes are actually drilled, and the fact that your lugs are drilled into the hub as well, an 'adapter kit' is a horrible idea. Seriously, I'm not even sure how an adapter kit is going to physically change:

a) hole location
b) stud location

And the one way I can think of would require a couple INCHES of backspacing, which is going to make your wheels stick out, like you're rockin' some wire rims or something.

I'd definitely advise against it, profusely...

Check Ebay, or local Craigslist for 5x100 rims and get something that is going to fit correctly. You'll be happier in the long run.
