I had my wheels off a few weeks ago and I didn't use a torque wrench to tighten the lugs. Today, I dug my torque wrench out and checked the torque. I was surprised how far off I was when I guessed using the provided lug wrench. Half were too loose and half were too tight. Now I can have peace of mind knowing they are all at 100 ft/lb.
I reccommend that everyone should get a torque wrench and use it especially on the lugs. I also have an inch/lb wrench for the smaller jobs. |
