Default Replaced Goodyear Eagle RS-A

I recently needed to replace one of Goodyear Eagle RS-A on my wife 2007 GT Convertible due to side wall bulge probably cause by a winter pot-hole. Since there was only 18000 miles on the tires and and had a lot tread left I chose only to replace one tire only of the same size and brand.
What was interesting was the price difference quoted online for the same tire. Tire Rack and Discount Tire were both over the $200 range per tire while my local Just Tires sold me one for $120 plus all the additional stuff requires to mount and dispose, tax , etc..

I have also found that my local STS tire dealer has beat the price at tire rack on more then one occasion. The resources on tire rack are still worth the look but it just goes to show you that your local guy may not be the thief that you think he is.

Did you cross-rotate your tires? When PTs came out, a lot of folks discovered the Good-for-a-Years would get ply separation after being cross-rotated - front-back is okay -seems they didn't like rotating the other way after rotating 1 way for a while.
