Angry Rotors

I was told it was easy to replace my rotors on my 2006 non turbo pt cruiser, and that you do not have to remove the center wheel bearing nut. Well I have tried for an hour using a rubber mallet and still I can not get this rotor to slide off, are you sure to not have to remove this nut.

The center wheel bearing doesn't have to come off. Are you sure there isn't a small screw around the center of the rotor holding it on? If not, it's probably rusted on really tight. The caliper is completely off, right? Look at the new rotor and you should be able to tell that it just slides off and on without touching the center bearing.

Unless of course Chrysler did something different on the 2006+ cruiser that I don't know about.

A lot of shops will heat them up with at torch to break the rust.
