Default Strut Tower Brace

Hey everyone, I am looking to purchase a strut tower brace for my 04 GT but am not able to locate where I bought my last one. I have a BTG strut tower brace on my 01 PT now. I've been combing through the forums on Turbo Dodge but nada. When did they move PTE Forums anyways? Been outta the loop for a few... Anyone recommend a place to find one or another strut tower brace? Thanks~

Try Maggie (owner) of www.raceandstreet.com

P.S. PTE moved a couple months back. Caught everyone by surprise.

You might want to check this one out - it may be more durable. I have a BTG bolted on my GT, and this one looks like the same deal.

Looking at the above link and pictures, it looks like if you have a vanity cover over your engine, that strut tower bar might not fit so the cover would have to be removed to fit the bar. Just a thought.

The $20 ebay ones work just fine for me and a lot of others too. I have the same one on my '04 GT and one our '06 NA both with vanity covers. On both cars you can feel a difference (firmer feeling in turns) and looks nice under hood.

No need to pay more for the turbo model either as on the GT its a simple trim on the part that holds the 3 valves under cruise canister.

I know the higher priced one uses all 3 strut studs and IS beefier, but the torque specs are only 25 ft lbs on the nuts (soft metal and small diameter which is easily broke off if over tighten) so how much support do you really think its gonna have anyway.

That reminds me of customers that call me out to hookup home theaters and the started hanging the TV. They use 8-20 huge lag screws to mount the back plate to the wall but the actual TV rails use only 4 small bolts.
