what is the fatest tire we can fit??

hello all, what is the fatest tire we can fit on the stock 17" gt rim??

I think the biggest is a 215. I saw one with 225's and they really looked like the rim was way too narrow.

Check out Tire Rack ( http://www.tirerack.com ) you can find the measured rim size for each tire and the acceptable rim widths, with that information and your rim offset and backspacing you can figure out if you will have enough clearance.
