People's opinion on tires are like their opinion on religions. It's really all about the type of climate you live in and if you prefer long-lasting All Seasons or a short life of grippy Performance tires.

Let us know about these, and everyone here will give you their suggestions.

Anyone try the205-50-17 Goodyear NCJ5 All Season Tires?

Also Hercules Raptis 205-50-17???
A local tire dealer here in Western NC is asking $425 installed for the Goodyears and $400 installed for the Hercules.
I like to push the curves in my '06 GT Vert. and was wondering if these on good tires for driving in the mountains.
I tried Tire Rack, but did not see these two listed. Anyone help me out here,
for good tires in this price range?

Not a fan of Goodyear based on past experience. I had a set of Yokahamas put on our first PT that I liked really well. Long wear, stable dry or wet and looked good too.

First choice is Michelin.
Second choice is Pirelli.

Have best heat resistance and road hug, in my experience. Avoid far-eastern manufacturers, in my opinion. (insert sound of crawling skin here.)
