I want to see if the sway is causing the clunk I'm hearing. I have disconected it and drove it around and it was quiet. I replaced the end links but it still makes the noise. I was thinking of disconecting it until I can get it to the shop. Is this a bad idea? Will it mess with the suspension? Thanks.

If it was mine I would simply leave it on til I got it to the shop. Just drive carefully and get to the shop sooner than later. Don't wait. It would help them diagnose the problem if your suspension is in the form that has the clunk. Just my 2 cents.
