Default sitting at a light.....

I notice the guy next me is standing still, just like me, and his wheels were still spinning? Now, I quit drinking 8 years ago, I haven't got high since I was 18, and here I am looking at a car, not moving, but the wheels are. Now, this is the first time I saw this, at first I thought hmmmm, can I be asleep or am I dreaming? So I pinched myself, sure enough, I was awake. what will they come up with next? anyone have these wheels on a Cruiser? Gary

I have seen some of these "spinning wheels" in recent months--usually on expensive SUVs. Most of the ones I've seen have been 20-inch wheels. My guess is that they are very expensive and considered a "high theft" item. Think I'll just keep my 17-inch five-spoke chrome wheels.

I to have only seen these on high end SUV's. And they do cause one to believe that they are seeing things that should not be! And Gary is correct, they are a "high-theft" item. Recently saw on the news, here in the Phoenix area, that stores that sell these have been broken into (smash-n-grab style) just to get these wheels.

I'm with you Gary, the first time I saw them I had to look twice. Not sure how they would look on a PT but not my cup of tea.

I have seen them on "Escalades" but the other day I saw them on the other side of the budget scale. A mazda Protege wagon... I guess they are worth more than the car itself... I live in "Ricer" paradise...[xx(]

I saw sone on a caddilac the other day. The rim part was solid and flat black so the spinner was the only thing you saw. It looked like the car was skidding down the road as the spinners were not spinning yet. That has to be my favorite I have seen of the spinning rims.

They normally run a $1-2 grand each. I saw them a little while ago on a vehicle I didnt expect them to be on, they were on a mid 90's station wagon. Another funny thing was that they were only 14-15 inch rims too. People never cease to amaze me.

Yep, I've seen vehicles where the wheels were worth more than the car.
