Default New Rims Question

I am in the process of looking for new rims and am wondering what the offset measurement is that is listed on several tyoes of wheels. Found an awesome style I was looking for but it lists no offset but they are 5 x 100mm. Emailed the company but have not received an answer yet on whether it will fit the PT. The same wheel fits a VW Beetle which on another set I was looking at listed theirs as fitting a PT and VW Beetle also. The only dif is these had a 38 or 40 mm offset. Will they fit without the offset ? [:I]

Also...what size width do I need to put on 235's
