Default tire width question

I have a 02 Dream ser 1 16"x7" stock wheels. These are rusting and the chrome is peeling off on the inside I like thes wheels but the rust is a pisser. I found these on Sears website and like the looks of them. I just bought new BF Goodrich g force SS A/S tire. ( love 'em) Now my question The new wheels are an inch wider. does anyone think this will be a problem?

Thanks in advance

Didn't click on the link, but having an 8" width is safe. What's the offset?...probably should've clicked on the link lol. If the offset is above +40, you might wanna test fit them immediately. The inner barrel might rub the struts or the spokes might hit the calipers. My 18x8 wheels' spokes are really really close to the calipers. They do clear though. My offset is +40.

P.S. I agree with your sig!

Wait, did you say those new wheels are an inch wider? They are 16x7 which mean they'll fit pretty easily.

And your topic title is referring to tire width. What exactly are you tryna find out?

technically, no... the lugnut is sitting on the toolbench. What I'm missing is a stud, as the tire place busted one swapping out the wheels. The tire place didn't do lugs so I have to get it to another shop this weekend. The alignment place had also busted one, so it was no big surprise. I guess at 75K, gotta figure a few things will go wrong, so I plan on swapping out all the back lugs.

I had the same thing happen when I got new wheels. The guy at the tire shop told me they would probably break the lug nut when he tried to take it off and it wasn't responding. I told him to go ahead - and the lug nut broke. Of course, they didn't do lug nuts, so I got it replaced elsewhere.
