Default Widest wheel/tire combo stock suspension?

Hi
I am looking for some more contact patch on the stock suspension. Right now the stock 15 in steelies are dedicated snow tire wheels, so I need to pick up or custom order something else for summer ( Ultra/ high performance wanted). I didn't see much tire selection for the stock 15s so I guess a 16in wheel might be better....haven't checked what is out there yet, as I am not sure what will clear. I also want to stay with a steel wheel for cost and looks, maybe diamond racing or another similar company, or maybe just a junkyard if they are available ?

Anyone know?

I'm using 18x8.5 38mm offset with 235 40 18 tires.

But those aren't steel. I don't think any thing that nice is available in steel.

That's a good start thanks. Any clearance issues? How close to the shocks are the inner tire, fender lip? Did you need spacers/studs or anything?

The tires are about 1/2 inch to the bottom of the strut. I'm using 5mm spacers and I had to grind a few mm from the caliper bracket...but I think is only need it because of the wheel design ( deep dish ) and the bigger GT brakes. I had no rubbing at all with the Eibach springs...now with the Goldline Super Slammers, I get some rubbing on the inner fender under fast cornering...but I believe is fixable with a little fender rolling.

But look how close I'm to the edge of the fender...
