Default Sway bar links..axel boot

Am I ever confused...I am a new "cruiser". I purchased a 2006 touring cruiser from a new car dealership (that sells used cars) and I am running out of time with my 30 day warranty. I had my mechanic put the car up on the lift (after the purchase) and he advided me that the front stabelizer links were improperly installed on both sides. It appears that the links the dealer put on were not the correct links, it had too many washers, it had metal on metal at the connection and the top of the bolt was cut, causing the bolt to cut into the axel boot. Today the dealer agreed to change both links, and the right front axel with genuine Chrysler parts, however the dealer insists that his installation of the metal on metal is correct where my mechanic insists it should be rubber on metal at the connection. Any idea who is correct?

Here is a link when I did mine. You can clearly see how it goes.

Thanks...exactly what my guy told me...rubber on the metal. I posted as attachments the photos I took while under the car. As you can see, the bolt slit the boot too. Now I just have to figure a nice way to tell the dealer he better not install it incorrectly again.

Again, thanks for your help

That is completely wrong. You can use my pictures so they can install them correctly. After that I won't use them anymore for any other repairs.

I can't see that as the problem with the boot. Mayby they did it doing the work. If that qualifies as work!

Is missing the middle part on the linkage that's why is touching the axle.

The top of the bolt is really close to the boot..these photos were taken when the car was on a lift. Close up, you can actually see the rough cut edge of the upper bolt. As I saw from rocketmans photos, even before they were put on, there is a bolt-like topper too.

Still doesn't look long enough to touch. But that is the most ridiculous excuse for sway bar link install I'v ever seen!
