^ yours came out really nice. mine will only look nice where the bushings are.
i'm doing these and changing out a wheelbearing at a friends shop. i'm hoping to have everything finished and back off the lift in two hours or less so i'm out of his way ASAP. -i'll get to use a press and a much larger torch ![]() i'm reeeeeeallly hoping the nuts for the vertical bushings do not break free, but if they do, i have tools to cut the the floor too. |

Are there vertical inside metal bushings?

how much horsepower do the red bushings add? as much as your chrome gas cap? i figure i should be up to like 90hp at the wheels with these. i believe the red are stiffer than the black. i need it.. all the clunking drives me nuts daily and the wheelhop i get in this thing when it's wet out is aggravating. my stiffer engine mounts eliminated some of the wheelhop, hopefully the stiffer bushings eliminate the rest.
the originals get re-used. i've attached a picture of the instructions. everything included in the kit is in the original pic. according to rule number 9 i should apparently use the matching color loc-tite or recheck them every morning. ![]() Last edited by rob342; 30 Jun 2012 at 11:59 am. |

JUST took Neon ones out after years & Years- Prothane supplied internal bushings for horizontal and vertical-
but did have to burn out horizontal rubber to re-use outer race IIRC. They did take a set- will find out shortly when I get both new super-disco Spherical bearings in if it made a diff. ![]()

Any part you add that is *RED= + 1 HP on the butt Dyno. (BD) Chrome Parts +1.5HP on the BD Anodized and powder coated part any color = .5HP on the BD except *RED. ![]() It is unfortunate that most suppliers of polyurethane bushing do not indicate the durometer # of the polyethylene they are using. If you knew you could request harder or softer #'s for your specific applications. I am not sure if color has anything to do with what harness level the bushings are unless they indicate that either? When I order bulk polyurethane with a specific harness or durometer # for projects it is usually available in a variety of colors. |

Hey, Buddy, could you do me a BIG favor and measure overall height of that 'Original Factory (Inner) Sleeve' as accurately as possible?
Diameter of the top washer thingy (doesn't have to be accurate) too Thanks!
