Default Something Loose in Rear End

If I grab the top of either rear tired and shake the car side-to-side I can detect a definite loose feel or play in something. It was a familiar feel that I've had on other cars that definitely had bad bearings.

My initial thought therefore, was shot rear wheel bearings, so I got that done .... but it's still the same. Round two, I changed the lateral link device that mounts to the rear axle - it WAS worn, so I figured that must be it .... nope !

What else should I be looking at ?

Well the rear wheels are only connected at a few points.

So you've done the bearings *point #1*
The wattslink bellcrank *#2*
then you have the control arms *that connect to the bell crank*
The shocks.

annnnnd that is. SO check the rear control arms for play, but only check when the car is sitting on the ground, this allows slack, if you jack it up it tightens everything.

Then grab the actual shock compressor and give that a few jerks. When you hear or feel movement. You found your cause :-)
