Default squeaky bushes

Hi all
I am a new member to this forum and would like some advice if poss.
I recently had to have the bushes replaced on my Cruiser and decided on the Energy suspension performance polyurethane type as i thought they would last longer, the problem is that after a couple of weeks they became quite noisy and my mechanic has said that as they are a hardened polyurethane and not rubber i may get some noise, I have done as he suggested and given them a good dose of WD40 but after a week or so the squeaks returns

Any suggestions

I guess the mechanic forgot to use the supplied grease

btw, I have those bushings ( in red color ) in my two PTs ( mine for two years and my wife's for six years ) and NEVER made any noise...

Like Gus said the correct lube is very important with the ES bushings or any poly bushing. That is also another good reason to use the black ES bushings, most of them are graphite impregnated to help prevent the squeaks...

I was going to recommend McKay Rubber Lube a liquid none petroleum rubber lubricant. The only thing to this is that I am not sure who has small quantities anymore. The 8oz. bottle I use has been discontinued and only now available in gallon sizes.
I have used this on polyethylene bushing for years without any material break down of the bushings.

What is nice about a liquid lubricant is most application it is not necessary to dis-assemble the part to get to the bushing is not necessarily.

Rubber bushings (bushes) torque so they don't squeak, but they rip and tear. Poly bushings slip and turn so they squeak, but they don't tear. Pick your poison.

I'm a big believer in drilling and tapping for zerk graese fittings to handle issues like this regarding poly bushings. It's an extra step that pays dividends.

Hey thanks I had heard about doing that but saw no mention of it lately. Do you think it could be done after the bushings are already installed?
