Default subaru wheel swap?

I saw these online and I like the looks of them, and the price is good. I have a 2005 limited and for some reason they came with 15's instead of the 16's that I understand should have come with them. Everything in this description looks like a match but the offset is my worry. I have seen subaru's with pt cruiser 16's on them so I am thinking it would work. Can anyone confirm that the offset would be fine?

Subaru Impreza WRX
Size: 16x6.5"
Offset: +53
Bolt pattern: 5x100
Wheel Weight: 16.5 lbs
OEM-equipped tire size: 205/55R16

Thank you,
-Norby

That +offset is way big. I wonder if it's a misprint and it should be 43 instead of 53. Contact the seller for a double check. At +53 it may be too close to the strut.

I remember the OEM offsets were pretty high. I think +53 may be right.

Hub-centric spacers my friend.

Its the hub size that you have to worry about. I think it is smaller than the pt. Would have to be machined out a little. Goggle it to be sure.

The hub size is smaller. I had done some research on this swap before and the Subaru wheel has just a slightly smaller hub then the PT does. The PT is 57.1 and the Subaru is 56.1.

Maybe but it certainly needs to be checked out. I tried to search some info. The aftermarket tires that Tire Rack sells are +45 for 7 1/2" wide and +48 for 8" wide. The wheels the OP is considering are only 6 1/2" with 205mm tires so that could keep him out of trouble. Buttttt...... I've never run across ANY wheels with a +53 offset before, especially a 6 1/2". That's why I question if it's a misprint.

Thank you all very much! I will check with the seller first, but it sounds like it wouldn't be such a great idea anyways.

I believe you to be right on the misprint. Know someone with pt wheels on an outback and they fit normal. Looks as if factory.

According to this the wheel offset is indeed +53.
