Default Changing rims on GT

Sorry if this is already answered somewhere, but I don't know a lot about these kinds of things.
I just bought a 2003 GT Turbo and I was thinking about buying a set of smaller rims off another PT for running my winter tires. I believe they would be the 15" rims. Would they fit on my car?
The reason is that the bigger tires are going to be much more expensive and I thought I'd rather have the option of being able to buy the smaller (and cheaper) tires for my winters and keep my summers on the chrome rims and save them for running only in the summer.
Thanks!

The Turbo is strong, fast and reliable.. People that don't understand the love of a PT, probably don't deserve to.

I think I've read here that 15 in will not work on a GT because of the larger calipers up front. I believe 16 in is the smallest rims that will work. I'm looking to get some rims for my 05 GT convert for snows as well.

I personally drove my Dream 2 home on steel's because two of my rims were damaged. No rubbing at all!

Translation, please?
Sorry, I am very new to all of this. Car knowledge is not innate to me, being born the other gender and all.
And yes, BC has winter, especially in the mountains, where I am.
Is there confirmation that the 15s won't fit, or is that just a guess?

Translation is! You can run 15" factory steel wheels on any PT! As long as it is OEM brake calipers!

Thanks! You guys are all so helpful. I'm learning!

Now the next question: How do I tell if I have OEM brake calipers?

I'm reviving this thread because I need to buy new rims. My OEMs are shot. Apparently, they are so dented and banged up from the previous owner that I should not put new tires on them as they will just chew them up. Can anyone tell me the proper size 16" rims to look for? Thanks!
