Tried email didn't work. Why didn't you trim
bump stops when you put on your springs? |

Quote:
If you lower your car and don't trim the bump stops you limit the amount of travel to the suspension. Think about it like this, if you left your car the same height but added 2" to your bump stops, you would hit the bump stops sooner, limiting your suspension travel. If you lower your car 2" and don't trim the bump stops you're doing the same thing, limiting your suspension travel. By trimming them you keep the same amount of suspension travel. Does that make sense?

If you look, you'll see you can get at the bump stops with the rear backed up on ramps. I put on the springs, and decided I'd try it without trimming, that if I hit the stops, I could always trim some, try it, trim some more, etc. I have not found it neccessary to do any trimming - I only bottom on severe holes/bumps where the stock springs would also undoubtedly bottom, and a little extra rubber isn't gonna hurt. For example - drove 50 miles this morning to another work location, all secondary roads - no bottoming. [?]
By the way, I've gotten emails from members here, dunno what problem there was...
