Default I'm curious for opinions on this.

Hi, I bought some Ronal R7 rimms which need some work done. This is what they look like now:

As you can see, some damage and a paintjob is necessary too. Now I first tought of painting them white. But I changed my mind to something more radical, orange to be exact

I found this pic when looking for "orange wheels on blue car":

And I love it !!

Now I 'm wondering what other people think about this colour-combo ?

I certainly wouldn't.

It would make your car easy to find in a parking lot.

Wel, I want to go where noone has gone before. I really dislike the chrome add-ons that so much PT drivers seem to love. And in my quest for being different this is a huge step.

I love orange! My last car before the PT was orange!
Blue and orange are complementary on the color wheel, and that's why the contrast is so striking. I love it. Others may not, but you've got my thumbs up vote!

Cool Re: I curious for oppinions on this.

I love the orange but it all has to work together like the picture you posted.

That vw is slammed, those rims on the pt wouldn't work at the stock level

Secondly, the rims you have wouldn't look good painted orange on a pt IMHO

Good luck

Ps I agree with you on all the chrome flash

The first thing I do with any wheel new and especially used wheel is take them and have them spun on a balancer to see how the are for truing and balance. I index the heavy side for tire position later.

Otherwise Orange is not my cup of tea unless I was in one of my track cars and wanted sponsor attention. Some how I think "look at me Police" Orange even when the few time I actually do practice the vehicle codes?

If you like it do it. Yes they have gone there before. Maybe a kaleidoscope paint scheme on the wheels would be more original. Day glow colors of course.

Yeah, "they" have gone there before... but NEVER with a PT Cruiser

And Lynn, I 'm a bit puzzeled about the type of wheels I have too, but since I have to paint them anyway (gonna use spraycans) I 've got a "why not" feeling about this. I'm not troubeled about the police, if so I'll repaint them

My PT is pretty low too when the coilovers are on it Next time I install them I 'm going to drop the back till max and the front -2,6". Seems pretty "slammed" to me
