Default unknown part in wheel well

So i decided to have some fun in my 2001 pt cruiser LE. I ended up in the ditch and some guy offered to pull me out. well he hooked up to a bar found in my wheel well (passenger side) that bolts on in 2 spots one to what looks like i think is my frame and on to the wall in the well. It ended up snapping in 2 and im looking to replace it but i have no clue what it is or what it does. I think it was connected at the bottom onto the same bolt that holds my sway bar in place. I know that its past the tie rod end toward the front. It only took one bolt (at the top) and one nut that was around the same bolt i think was holding my sway bar. It still handles mint and doesnt pull to one side or the other. Anyone have an idea of what the bar is called? I know that when i cut my wheel to the right you can look in behind from the front and see where it was. any names for this part?

Go to your local craigslist under auto parts. Type in PT Cruiser. Then look for a part out call them up show them the picture that sanatanadharma provided and you will get one.
Or call a local auto dismantler and do the same as ^^^^
