Default Rear rattling/ clunking

I have a lot of clunking, more like rattling coming from the rear of my 07 touring edition. I did some searching and a lot of reading here on the forums and thought I found my answer. I replaced the bellcrank and not the upper and lower watts links. They appeared to be in good condition and not at all loose or warn and in more than a few responses to other posters questions, the consensus was to not replace them unless it was obvious that they needed it. To be completely thorough here with my info, the bellcrank also did not appear loose or warn and did not clunk or move when I rocked the car from side to side. I decided to replace it anyway because again the consensus was that a bad bellcrank wont always reveal itself upon inspection. The rear shocks are new, only a few thousand miles old. I did not replace the springs because they didnt appear to be sagging. Also all the nuts and bolts that I can see and put my hands on seem to be in good shape and tight. At this point my brain tells me it should be pretty obvious that the upper and lower watts links need to be replaced but that is why I am here asking first. I have learned my lesson more than a few times in the past NOT to throw money at what seems to be the obvious problem because in my experience only about 1% of the time it actually is... ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Be sure the spare is tight.
Also check that you haven't lost an exhaust hanger - the exhaust can hit the axle if a hanger or 2 goes.
