Default Front too low for my taste (and local conditions)

Is there any accessory kit that could raise the front suspension (or maybe both front and read) 1/2 to 3/4 inch? I have a 2002 Dream-Cruiser and it is very easy to have the front bumber scratch the asphalt when coming into a gas station or on the incline for a garage at just a little too fast.

I have also been thinking in the terms of adjustable suspension systems (compressor driven) if that could work.

aolsson, welcome to the forum. Most people want to lower their cruiser's vice raise them. Try coming into steep inclines, driveways, etc. at an angle. I've lowered my PT two inches all the way around and have no problems as long as I do the above.

Don't think it would be a good idea to raise the vehicle anymore than it is. Another option would be to lower the back 1.5 to 2.0 inches which in turn would raise the front maybe as much as the 1/2 to 3/4 inches you want.

aolsson,

IRPT probably has the best idea. Here's a place that sells the rear springs separately. Lower the back, raise the front...not much but it may be all you need and like IRPT said, try hitting the higher inclines at an angle.

Air suspension is expensive, the rear springs are cheap, and easy to do. Make sure your tires are fully inflated.

To someone who has these Goldline springs,

Is the ride the same or firmer? I want to use the rear only but not change ride quality. Wife says so!

I got mine used (They wanted MORE rake & kept the front). I think mine are Redline?? My ride did not deteriorate - even wife says so. Stay at 2" drop or less & go for progressive rate springs.

AOLSSON. well on put on eibach rear springs.now I have a knock
to figure out,But the ride is the same as before. It did raise the
front, but not very much.I didn't even have to adjust my headlights
Don't know if this is for you or not.It seems pretty low in the back
but I like the way it sits.no rake

Jimbo, since you have an aftermarket exhaust you may well be hitting the rear axle in certain situations. I had the same problem after installing my GoldLines and just got it taken care of today. Get the car up in the air if you can and look for a mark on the exhaust just above the axle. I could clearly see it on mine and we adjusted the hanger just forward of the axle.

2sb, my GoldLines dropped my car 1.5" front and 2" rear. Yes, there is a slight difference in ride quality, but it's very minimal and only under certain conditions. Trimming your bump stops may or may not help you with this. See this thread for further discussions on the subject http://www.ptcruiserlinks.com/forum/...?TOPIC_ID=6848
