Default Well I do, I say I do believe my brakes are shot haha

Well I just got back from the most painful ride to the store I've ever had.

squealing like crazy the whole way from the left front wheel.

Sounds like my "warning indicator" is burying itself into the rotor.....

Odd....I just replaced the pads in august lol

Looks like its time for new pads again!

Hoping its the pad and not the bearing, I just lost my job so, the PT may be headed for screwed's ville if so :/

Hard to believe the pads would be shot if you replaced them last August. Hold off till you inspect the wheel. Might be something caught up between the caliper and rotor.

If they're happy happy Dragon brand Chinese pads you might just need to scrub them with soya sauce for a few minutes , crack the fortune cookie that came with the guarantee it'll probably say the same thing .

That's a recipe for disaster. Rusted drums will usually come loose if you slap them between the lug studs until the break loose with a big hammer.

Plum; Don't forget to buy new bearings when your done with the 20 lb hammer! --- Check for hardened grains of rice between the rotor and pads.

UPDATE!:

So its 70* and sunny out so I pulled the wheel, caliper and pads, , pulled the mount and rotor, and rotated the wheel bearing, no crunch! no squeaks!

Took my grinder to the rotor, cleaned up the rust on the edge and slapped her all back together.

Still griding

Pulled the caliper back off and looked at the Pads thoroughly, still 1/2 inch of pad left.

Then I saw it!. The bottom "anti rattle" tab had bent, and was scraping against the rotor, so I figured "meh dont need that" took it off and tossed it.

No more scraching, squealing or grinding!

Only downside is there is a tiny "click" when I put it in reverse, or drive and brake from one to the other. Complementary of the pad shifting about 1cm :-)

I think I can live with that until the pads need to be redone :-)
