Default lower control arm issues

I am in the process of trying to replace my lower control arms. I have all the bolts off and undone except the one holding the back end of the control arm to the frame. The bolt is just spinning there as I am trying to remove it. Anyone have any advice on how to get it out? I was almost thinking of taking a sawzall and cutting just above and below the control arm.

There are threads on that issue right now! Are you seeing them? It sounds like your already screwed! But the procedure is on here you have to get to the top of the nut from the driver side floor.

My search for the threads sucked. I managed to make hole in floor, smash the hell out of cage holding the sleeve, and wedged a chisel between flat end of sleeve and what was left of the cage and got it out. Def thinking after this side I am going to pay to have a shop do the other side lol.

That's why I normally just use 'Google Search',and enter "PT Cruiser" then whatever your needing/problem......It always leads me back here somehow!

Are your referring to the vertical rear mounting bolt?.....Because I think that one has an 'anti-rotation tang',and your supposed to turn the bolt, not the nut.....Unless you did turn the nut,and now the 'tang' is stripped. Can you post a photo?

That sucks. I found myself thinking of sending a bomb to Chrysler- But stopped when I figured they already prolly got 3-4 a day.
I nearly did anyway- Google would tell you how to make one, right???

There's a TSB on the earliest of the early Neon, and perhaps on early PT's (which, by the way, were made six years later) and principle's the same.
