Default Wheel adapters for PT Cruiser?

Hi.

New to the forum but I've had my Cruiser since 2010.
I have a 2008 Touring with the 16 in. rims.
The reason for my post is that I've been offered a set of Chrysler 300 rims, 17 in. and as far as I know they are a 5x115 bolt pattern. The PT is 5x100 if I'm not mistaken so I was wondering if anyone has installed wheel adapters on their PT Cruiser.
I'd like to know if they are a good idea in terms of safety and ride quality. Also, any suggestions on where to get a good set would be nice. I can't really find many sellers.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I wouldn't use them - they also act like a spacer. Ride will only change because of lower sidewall from 17" but not from adapters.

When I was working on my conversion of SRT4 wheels from a Cavalier I got a adapter to fit the wheel and it work but the wheel was coming out Half inch so I decided not to use the adapter and built it from scratch. My recommendation is get a spacer and look how the wheel will look. I can sell you the spacer so here are a picture. image.jpg

A little off-topic, but your idea of putting 300 wheels on a Cruiser got me thinking, how cool would it be if someone used Crossfire wheels?

Question Re: Wheel adapters for PT Cruiser?

What took you almost four years to get here?

Are you an enthusiast or just an owner?

Owners just join to get a question answered then after a while they disappear.

Guess we will know soon enough

Welcome

Add to the fact that they need to be hubcentric. The length of the stock lugs come into play as they might prevent the new wheels from mounting. What's the offset for those wheels btw? Are those the ones that have a lot of spokes?

Welcome

Haha, thanks.
I'm definitely an enthusiast of all things automobile but I really have no clue why it took me so long to join.
I haven't done much to her but I'd definitely like to add some things so we'll see.

So the wheel spacer will account for the different bolt pattern? Or am I mos-understanding? I thought they only made the wheel go out more...

The wheels I'm talking about are these;

It's one or the other since I can't remember right now. But I think it's the 7 spoke ones cause they are off an 06 WP Chrysler signature edition.

So...putting these on want be an easy-ish task?

Those would definitely look good as would the 17s that come in the newer 200s. I think they look similar to those.
