Default lowered the PT now have a question

So this past weekend I had my 04 GT PT lowered.. I had a Tein Springs a new Monroe struts/shocks installed. I have now driven the car a few hundred miles and the rear seem quite bouncey, does not seem normal. I looked under This morning and the real bumpstops were not cut. I thought they should have been. Any input or suggestions is appreciated.

Monroe's are going to be a softer ride than say tokicos that are made for lowered cars. Kyb's are a good choice too

As Busa pointed out: The Monroe's might not be made for lowered cars. Most shocks/struts are made for people that want a softer smoother ride. A lot of us went for the Tokico's that say they are for lowered cars. On the other question, yes, the last bump on the stops should be cut.

How much did you lower it?
I would think if you were hitting the bump stops, you'd know it - it's a "bang".

Alright so someone enlighten me on the bump stop issue. Ive never heard this. I have lowered my car 2" on all four corners and changed the shocks and struts to KYB's. I now hear like a metal on metal bang when going over bumps or even turning it doesnt sounds right.

See my picture above of the rear bump stop? The last "bump" is sawed off to give the suspension more room for travel before hitting the stop. I also have the lowering springs and Tokico struts and shocks.

noise from the front or back of the car?

from the front it could be the sway bar...

from the back it could be the watts linkage...

these are the most common spots for a banging sound
