Default Long Time Owner, time for some wheels...Recommendations?

I have owned my Silver Touring PT cruiser since new, Sept 9th 2001. Its time to update here stance and look. I would like some nice wheels and slight drop without sacrificing much ride quality.

Any recommendations? I am thinking 18's. I also love the turbo model rims. Does anyone stagger sizes? 17 front 18 rear etc? I would like to see what you have too.

Thanks.

Was fine with it stock all these years, now getting bored with her look. Instead of spending thousands on a new car, time to bring some life back into her.

He's been here a year longer than you have.

Chevychad -
I would suggest looking at Tirerack - they have a good selection, they'll only show you ones that fit, and you can see them on your car.

Some people have staggered front/back. As to bigger rims, aren't you going to keep the outside diameter the same? If you don't, your speedometer will be off. If you do keep diameter the same, it won't drop.

Not worried about speedometer. Work 5 miles from home, never drive freeway.

I have been spending most my time and money on a frame-off resto on my 66 Chevelle, so modifying my PT hasn't been a thought until recently. Have cruised this forum off and on since its inception.

As long as the front O.D. is factory, then his speedometer won't be off. He can make the back wheels as big as he can fit back there.
