Default TIE ROD ENDS

I am confused...looking at Rockauto where U usually get a LOT of my parts...for my 2006 cruiser there are outer and inner tie rod ends listed
I ASSUME there are TWO outers; one right one left and they look like an elongated L and then there is pictured the INNER a longish rod; prolly hex shape with a domed device near the end with threads. Are there TWO of these too or just one? I don't want to buy 1 more or 1 LESS than what I need
The ball joints are self explanatory thank you
SO a left and a right outer and an how many 'inners' basically ;-)

kc

Thanks...sry did NOTLOOK in my Haynes manual first !!!

Arrow Re: TIE ROD ENDS

you need two outer and two inner tie rods, one of each on each side.

they are not side specific...

Wink Re: TIE ROD ENDS

yeah I have the tool; I had to buy it for replacing rod ends on my 97 TAURUS; it has all the different 'adapters' but I think I am farming out this job; they can do EVERYTHING All at once; inner outer tie rod ends; ball joints; etc...
getting flustered doing this sh*t any more

Do you have any play in with inners? You may not need them. Making the job way less stressful.

I decided when I got this 2006 which was a fleet car (bothers me not) and 1xx,xxx miles that everything that wears normally would be replaced; that includes the rear AND front suspension. I want NO SURPRISES down the road; especially at a point usually when I can LEAST afford it! I bought virtually every piece that usually wears and had the good fortune they include greasable joints (I Am a FIRM believer in MAINTENANCE; NOT IGNORANCE)
So spending the few $100 now will give me peace of mind and a new near perfect baseline to go from. It's only logical ;-0
