Default RIM OFFSET SIZES

Hi i have the stock chrome 17' gt rims, i need to know the stock offset if anyone knows, i had 38 mm spacers, that poked out fine, but now that i lowered car, they might rub, so i really only need 15 mm to get rims to look good, i don't want them "tucked" i want flush or as much out as i can safely, if anyone has done this with success with a lowered car, please share what size rims you bought, i am looking at a nice set with 45 mm offset, but i don't know how that compares to the stocker's, don't want to order if i don't get the look i'm after, thanks for your help, this is a tricky one, and expensive , so i want to get this right first go around, 'im sure you understand, thanks guys.

PTCrew.com - Learn it or Burn it.
It's STILL 38 mm.

maybe different people??? so to answer my question, do i have to go up or down to make them stick out more, such as 42mm etc? oh thanks for the link, im well aware where i post?? im seeing so many different rims, than i see the thickness, its confusing, do you know if there 6 or 7 thick?also can i put a wider tire on a rim to get that offset, these are what im loooking for, and i didnt mean to bother you, if it does, dont read it?? prettty simple.....sarcasm is not going to help me, when im ready to drop $1,000 or so, thanks

think i found something, whats et?

225/45 17 on 8" wide rimms with ET 35 and my wheel is flush with the fender. So your ET has something to say about it too.
