Default Seized Tie Rod end / Tierod end.

This Tie rod has givin me hell the last couple days. It was seized to the knuckle. a sledge hammer did not work. A tie rod separator did not work. I ended up jacking up the car on the bolt and then stood on the separator to get it to break free. The adjuster nut was also seized. I used the jack on a wrench to get it to brake free. Now the Tie Rod/ Tierod end itself is seized to the inner tie rod. There is no slot on either peice to get a wrench on them. I sprayed it with seize spray. The factory tie rod has a slot/crease that gives access to the threads. i sprayed the crap out of it. No luck. Can anyone help?

Inner tyrod requires special tool and heat, as in acyletene torch, will let you remove the outter tyrod.

Was able to get it off. Lots of Seize spray. Used a pipe wrench to grab a hold of the inner TR and used a TR Separator to turn the tie rod.

Yep. You definitely DO NOT want to reuse the inner tie rod if the outer was that bad. Better to just pull the inner and outer together as one unit and through them in the trash.

Both corrosive road salt and high heat, as from a bad wheel bearing or stuck brake caliper, can often cause this. You might want to inspect for both of the those. Glad you were able to get them loose.
