What I want to do Is either paint the red silver or black. Im wondering if I buy a can of plasti dip, can I just spray black plasti dip over the red ring and the red m symbol? Or will that not work? So I wont be spraying the whole rim and just simply do a circular spray over the red. Then I will either paint the caliper silver or black using caliper paint and the car should look better

I bought this car from an old lady and she must have had the tires changed and for some reason the place she took it to did not giver her factory size. I did not realize that till being on this forum in the sticky section.

You would need to plastic dip the whole wheel. You can buy one can of black dip and do 1 wheel to see how it looks. You can plastic dip the wheel while it is still on the car. Just use the plastic bag method to cover up the calibars.
After 2 coats you can tell if you are going to like it or not. If yes 2 or 3 more coats and you are done.

I would than leave the calipars red.

Well I decided to plasti dip the metegi's black and paint the calipers and drums black. Had a buddy help me or actually do all the work for me. Lol

What a world of difference it made in my opinion. i went from hating the wheels to actually really liking them.

I feel like the wheels dont look so small now either. I think the red trim around the rim gave off an illusion that the wheel was really small. Which actually the rim is small but doesn't look as small with a solid color.

I will have to post better pics when the car is cleaned up and I actually have some tire shine on it.

I just hope this holds up a while. I bought 4 cans because ive read a can per wheel depending on rim size but he actually only ended up using 2. He used like 2 coats per wheel and thought that would be enough even though most people say to use 4 or 5.

Why don't you try plastic dipping the wheels first before you buy a new set of wheels. I think you just need to get rid of the red.

Wheels look great.
Just want to let you know 2 coats look good but the extra 2 coats will make it last longer.
Try the tails to see if you like them. Can always take it off.
I am not a fan of plastic dip tailights. Too dark for me.
I prefer to use nightshade tint spray. More of a glossy look.
