Default 2004 17" taller tire size??

Hey guys I have a factory stock 2004 turbo with 17" wheels on 205/50/17tires. Time to buy tires and I was wondering how the ride would be and also the clearance if I got 205/55"s or 60's?? I only drive as a commuter and would like to get more mph on the freeway/highway/interstate without working my engine usually at 3grand about 80mph. I'm pretty sure the 50 series is recommended but anyone here have any experience with this?? stock height no upgrades.

Be hard to calculate fuel milage if you change the tire size.

The Turbo is strong, fast and reliable.. People that don't understand the love of a PT, probably don't deserve to.

The original 205/50/17 tires are reported to be 25.1 inches (638 mm) tall.

A 205/60/17 will be about 26.7 (678 mm) tall.

So with these installed, you PT will be going right at 6.3% faster than the speedometer shows.

Also, tire speed rating is different than tire height ratios. Here's an explanation:
