Default 20 in Wheels Discussion

I got the bug to change my wheels again. I been doing alot of research on here and from wheel suppliers. Reread Candymans old posts with some good info. But with all my research I can not find what width and offset was the best to use.
so far what I am leaning to:

20 x 7.5 5 x 100 40 offset
20 x 8.0 5 x 100 40 offset

I am shying away from 8.5 and a 35 offset because of the issues they cause.
I also found one wheel with a 8.0 x 45 offset but not sure it would be a better fit

On tire size:

225 x 30 x 20
225 x 35 x 20

Proper size tires for 20in wheels are the 30 series but I saw a youtube video showing a PT Convertible running 225 x 35.
I would rather run on 35s instead of 30s.

Also have seen all the negative comments on running 20s. My ride is not a daily driver so I not that concern .
So if anyone has some info on what sizes and offsets to use it would be very helpful.
Also not a lot of 20" wheel options that fit the PT that are available. So the choices are few. I am considering to look at 19s because not liking what I have been seeing.

I can't believe you live in Joisey and want 20" rims? The roads are like railroad tracks and will eat your rims.

Okay...

Let start with the 17-inch rim and work our way up from there. A PT 17 inch wheel is 5x100 7 inches wide and the offset is 39 mm. The stock tire is a 205/50 R17.

Based on that, here's some 20-inch spec's that you might be able to live with. That's an awfully skinny tire though.

Thanks Handy
Been trying to find the calculator

Can you try these 3 specs and give me your thoughts?

20 x 8.5 35 offset
20 x 8.0 40 offset
20 x 7.5 40 offset

on 225 x 30 x20

I am working with Costco's Velox Wheels on a set of 20 x 8.5 35 offset
Price is $175 ship

The perfect offset is 38. Remember, the smaller the offset # the more they will stick out. The higher the offset # the more they will tuck in.

I've been driving on 19 x 8,5 offset 35 with 225/35 19 tyres and that worked fine

And the car was dropped too:

Pulled the trigger on some MSR 087 rims. They are no longer available. It was my first choice when I started looking a few weeks back.
I wanted them in black trim but settle for the chrome.
I found a used set on Ebay with tires.
20 x 7.5 40 ET
225 X 35 X 20 tires

Hope they look as good as this:
