Default Spindle swap?

Ok, for the search nazi's, I tried and could not find one quickly so sorry in advance. I am new to the forum as well as to PT Cruisers. I purchased a 2001 touring edition with bad front wheel bearings (suprised?) My question is I read in there forums about it being a first gen bearing and was wondering....could I use the entire spindle, wheel and bearing assembly from from a 04 or 05 or newer without modifications?

Yes, you can use the 03 and up spindles, but you probably would need a wheel alignment.

You might want to introduce yourself and tell us a little about your PT Cruiser.

Yes.

Introduce yourself in the new members section and we will keep the "Search Nazis" at bay for you.

Handy...that's awesome.. Thats great news Myckee. Thanks for the info. I was wondering if they were the same except for the bearings. Going to hit LKQ this weekend and give it a shot. I just changed the inner and outer tie rods last week so the alignment will be a good idea anyway. Guess I'll try and get a throttle body from an automatic too. Did that swap on a Neon years ago and it made a big difference. Never understood Chrysler's thinking on that idea?
