Default Is any one running 225/45-17?

The dream cruiser wheels I have been running were driving me crazy. They leak like Titanic after it hit the iceberg.
I bought some 17x7 +40 offset rims that I think will look real nice on the car.
Now Im looking for a nice size to put on them. The stock sizewas 205/50-17.
Is any one running 225/45-17?
I can get a better deal on them then the 205s.
I know people say they do fit but I'm wondering if they rub.
Right now my car is lowered with the standard Eibach lowering springs.

The distance between the spring cup on the strut and the wheel does not change with lowering springs.
Check the height of the original tires then the height of the tires you want to install. See what you have to work with by measuring between the tire tread and the spring cup of the strut.
Did that make any sense at all?

Yes, I'm running 225/45-17s on my 05 vert turbo with no rubbing problems. Mine is not lowered though. The ride is kinda sporty & tight.
