Default New Brake Pads and Rotors

I needed new front brakes with all the stop and go traffic here in NYC. I found these on E-Bay and found some decent reviews on them. I have to admit I also liked the way they looked...lol

So far nice feel on the pedal and smooth quiet stopping

Cool Re: New Brake Pads and Rotors

That's a pretty good deal.

I have ceramic pads on my car and I love that the dust from them is very slight, but they don't have the best stopping power. In normal driving they are just fine. Next time I need to change pads I am going with something with more bite... But I also like to drive in a spirited manor...

Good score on the rotors and pads, and very nice looking PT Danny7627.

I see you're in Queens. Me too
Maybe we'll run into each other sometime.

Those look very nice.

I looked and they also have a four-disc set with pads for my GT. These looks like they are a little better than the average eBay pickin's. I may grab some myself.

Damn I wish you posted this a week ago. lol I just changed my brakes and rotors. Knowing my luck I would get the wrong part or something though. Heck I got the wrong part locally but was easy to get the one I needed.

Let me know how they work out. They also have a set for me '02 LTD.
Maybe I'll get a set, too.

those look more or less identical the the PowerStop ones available on rock auto that i threw on my mustang. they have the same vanes, same appearance, same silver zinc coating, etc.

link for the PT version: More Information for POWER STOP AR8351XPR

the break in procedure in the ebay listing also has a photo of the break in procedure, which matches my power slot instruction sheet word for word.

i think may be the same exact rotors, but re-boxed and sold at a lower price? if they are, i highly recommend painting them before installing them. i ended up removing mine to remove rust and apply silver paint. the zinc coating prevented rust for maybe a month.

i did a lot of research into brake pads before purchasing, and ultimately went with a premium semi metallic pad instead of the ceramic they recommended because i never get my brakes hot and i wanted a brake that gripped better cold while still having the low dust and no noise benefits of the ceramics.

I have a dumb question..... Did you put the rotors on the wrong sides? The slots on mine go the opposite direction...which seems to make sense that it would vent gasses and dust outward. No?

Not saying you did, but it just seems weird the same company would make certain rotors go one way and others go there other
